Takashi Ashitomi is a product designer. He joined Sony Design Center in 1985. He had been in charged of design of TV sets, audio and visual equipment at the company.
In 1991 He established SAAT Design. He has also been an professor of Department of Product Design, Tama Art University, from 2008, and a jury of GOOD DESIGN AWARD, Japan Institute of Design Promotion, from 2000.
At present his design approach has been getting more comprehensive through combination of product design, development of the local industry, design education and design critic.
